Remembering 2010

Well, I am slowly moving to that new blog but before I do I thought I should recap 2010.

It is good to look back and think about the past year and see where you have come through the moments. As I look back to 2010 I have to say it was one of my best years in a long time..definitely not perfect but one of many blessings.

I was able to spend time with my extended family in May - what a blessing to be around such a wonderful family, and to be able to share hugs, laughter, picture taking and stories.

I love spending time with my niece and nephew...anyone that knows me knows that. I was able to spend my birthday with them this year - I would have to say that was a present within itself.

I learned that one of my best friends was handed a trial that they would continue to have to face during the year. They showed me what having faith in our Heavenly Father really means...not perfect days but a joy and peace despite our circumstances. They have taught me what love is, and what strength is. Love you guys.

I traveled to London. What a trip - between a lost and yet found passport, a trip to the US embassy, riding the tube and meeting my co-workers it was a fun filled trip. I love seeing new places in this incredible big world we live in and I can hardly wait to go again.

And after returning there I was able to go to Vegas with some really good girlfriends. It was a trip of laughter, Donny and Garth. I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt days after returning back home.

My mom was a great patient during the fall. I was so fortunate to have the flexability with my job that I could stay with her and dad for two weeks. She was a more-than-wonderful patient and it was actually a privilege to be able to be there those two weeks with her and dad.

I met a dear friend who has renewed my love for my Heavenly Father and the importance of laughter during times and trials. With this renewed love and inner strength I was able to face some fears and trials during the year with an understanding that I wouldn't be forsaken and I have joy despite my circumstance. What a gift and blessing that was totally unexpected.

So for looking towards this upcoming year - I thought I'd come up with a new blog as well. This will be my last post here but you can find join at "My Life Captured".

The Search for the {Perfect} Template

Another year...another search for the perfect template for the new year.  If I had as many hours into the search for the perfect blog template as I do you would have been inundated with lots of posting, or at least the postings would be current.
But this year I have come to the conclusion that a blog template doesn't have to be perfect.

What does matter is the moment that is being captured...the story.  If I keep worrying about the perfect template, or worry about the perfect words, or the award winning fair picture, I think of the time wasted in not sharing the stories or the pictures with those of you who follow my little blog.  

I realize how much fun it was to take pictures daily, as it makes you realize that it is the little moments, as well as the big ones, that show us our many blessings.  

So...this week....the "perfect" template has been identified, final touches are being done and it will be shared by the end of the week.  In other words....the search is over and the stories begin.  I can't promise a picture a day...but then again we'll see.

Until then...may you have joy in all the little things in your daily life and always remember the blessings we have each and every day, no matter how 'perfect' they are documented.

Random...Planning Project Life

My cousin, ShellieB, and I ordered Project Life by Becky Higgins. We had a scrapbook weekend and put our books together...

Hmmm, six months later I am getting pictures together and need to get it together or yet another year will go by with lots of pictures, but album not completed.

No Work Today

Random....Just six months ago today...

I woke up 6 months ago today to this....it was gorgeous. I could have taken the morning off and just took off with my camera and snapped away on my camera. But I only had a few around my home...

Hard to believe it was just six months ago...especially on a day as hot and humid it is today.

It was a wonderful site.
